COVID-19 Update
As of Saturday, Dec. 26 at 12:01 a.m., the Province of Ontario is implementing a province-wide shutdown, which will remain in effect in Orillia for 28 days (until Jan. 23, 2021). At this time, the Orillia Recreation Centre, Brian Orser Arena and Rotary Place are closed to the public. All recreation programs and drop-in programs and facility rentals are suspended during the shutdown.
Fun Pass
All Fun Passes will be placed on hold effective December 24th, 2020. For monthly Fun Pass holders, a prorated refund will be placed onto your account. For those with an annual FUN Pass, a credit will be calculated once a reopening date is confirmed.
Drop-in Registrations
All drop-in registrants will be removed from upcoming drop-in time slots from December 24th, 2020 onward. If eligible, refunds for individual registrations will be placed onto your account.
Winter Program Registrations
We are currently reviewing winter program start dates. If your upcoming program must be adjusted, you will be notified via email. Refunds issued as a result of program adjustments will be applied directly to your family account.
Facility Permit Holders
Facility permit holders will be contact directly regarding the impact to their facility rentals.
Refund Requests
Be advised that all refunds will be issued back to account. If you wish to have your refund issued back to the original method of payment, please email sun_help@orillia.ca. Refund requests will be processed beginning January 11, 2021.
Hours of Operation
During the shutdown, staff will be able to assist you over the phone or via email Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Our holiday operating hours are:
Dec 24 – 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
December 25 – Closed
December 28-30 – 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
December 31 – 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
January 1 – Closed
Further communication will be provided once we have been notified by the Province that the lockdown restrictions have been lifted.

What to Expect During Your Upcoming Program
Signing Up For A Fun Pass or Drop-In Program
Pre-registration is required for fitness centre time slots and drop-in programs at the Orillia Recreation Centre and across City locations. At this time there will be no walk-in availability for purchasing memberships (Fun Pass), drop-in programs or general access to the building. Staff ask that you please purchase your Fun Pass and register for drop-in programming using the online portal.

How to register for Drop-In Programs
People can sign-up for a Fun Pass and/or redeem their Fun Pass gift certificate if previously purchased. Time slots for the fitness center and drop-in programs are now open for registration. Please be aware that when registering for drop-in programs participants must register 24 hours in advance of the drop-in timeslot.

Information For Facility User Groups |
Based on the Province of Ontario, Stage 3 Legislation, the following rules and regulations are in place for all recreation facility sport bookings:
Additional rules and regulations will be shared directly with user groups when requesting to book a facility. These rules and regulations are subject to change and may be updated where necessary upon further review of provincial regulations and order and based on direction from the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. |
Fun Pass
Try all of the services available, ranging from a workout in the Fitness Centre, taking a group fitness class in the studio, trying a drop-in sport and league in the FIBA-sized gymnasium, or a family outing to one of the open swims.

R: Resident rate - people who pay property taxes to the City of Orillia. N: Non-resident rate.
Infants: Under the age of 1 year are free.
Families: A family Fun Pass includes a maximum of six people - one adult (max of two) and four or five children under the age of 18, that live in the same household.
HST: Tax is applied to those 15 years and older.
