Seniors at Play
Seniors at Play is an initiative to provide seniors in Orillia and surrounding areas with age friendly recreation programs. Seniors at Play programs are hosted in the Orillia Room at Rotary Place (100 University Avenue) and in various outdoor locations in the summer months.
Seniors at Play offers a wide variety of programming tailored towards older adults in our community. Examples of current and past activities include:

Our Goals:

Preventing senior isolation in our community.

Promoting physical activity and social engagement.

Providing opportunities to build new relationships and eliminate barriers to participation in recreation activities by creating a safe space.

Seniors Community Grant 2024-2025
Seniors at Play is excited to partner with the Orillia Museum of Art and History, through the Community Canvas Project to provide members access to incredible art workshops hosted by various local artists. To view class details, click here.
New Horizons for Seniors Program 2024-2025
Keep an eye out for the new WISE symbol on monthly calendars. The WISE initiative will run until February 2025 and introduce a wide range of programming aligned with the core principles of WISE: Well-being, Ignite, Support, Empowerment. This initiative is funded in part by the New Horizons for Seniors Program, a federal government grants and contributions program that provides funding for projects that make a difference in the lives of seniors and in their communities.
