Age-Friendly Community Needs Assessment & Action Plan
The City of Orillia is taking steps to create a more age-friendly community, where all residents can be active and engaged members of the community at every stage of life.
Age-friendly communities support aging with dignity, respect and independence, and promote the inclusion of older adults in all areas of community life. Creating age-friendly communities involves assessing community need through the lens of the World Health Organization’s 8 dimensions of an age-friendly community.
To support the City of Orillia in becoming a more age-friendly place to live and grow, the City has developed an Age-Friendly Needs Assessment & Community Plan in partnership with the Age-Friendly Orillia Advisory Committee and J Consulting group.
