Music in the Park

Nestled in the heart of Ontario’s Lake Country, Orillia boasts a rich musical history that has earned it recognition as the musical hub of cottage country. From its ties to legendary singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot to its thriving live music scene, the city has long been a magnet for artists and performers. This legacy continues today with Orillia’s commitment to supporting live music and fostering a vibrant arts culture.

Each summer, the City of Orillia hosts a variety of free concerts at Couchiching Beach Park’s iconic Rotary Aqua Theatre. These performances offer residents and visitors the chance to enjoy live music by the lake, surrounded by stunning natural beauty. By celebrating local talent and creating accessible opportunities for the community to come together, Orillia continues to honour its proud history as a music hub while building a legacy for future generations to enjoy.

The Markets run from 5 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. From handcrafted goods and original artwork to unique artisan products, the market provides a space for artists, makers, and small businesses to connect with residents and visitors alike.
