Water Usage Customer Portal

Please note water bills and payments cannot be accessed or made through the Customer Portal.               To get billing information, please contact Financial Services at 705-329-7239 or treas@orillia.ca 

 This user-friendly portal allows residents & business owners to:

• Monitor water usage

• Understand current and previous billing

• Optimize water conservation through water usage monitoring

• Customize alerts regarding water consumption, which can help identify leaks

Setting up an account for the first time, please click on the button below to access the customer online portal, enter your email and a password (see tips for password below) and click on Need to Setup an Account. A page for the Terms and Conditions will appear, please scroll down and click Accept. An email invitation will be emailed to the email you have entered in the portal. Click on the link in the email invitation and finish setting up the login with address and account number, as indicated in the instructions below.

 How to set up an account and log on (from email invitation)

• You will need a computer/internet and an e-mail address.
• Please have on hand your City of Orillia water bill.
• Do not include the "WS" when entering the account number.
• Do include the decimal and all digits, including zeros.
• Enter the name of the person on the first line of the water bill exactly as it appears (see sample below).
• Enter a company name  on the first line of the water bill exactly as it appears (see sample below).
• The password must contain eight characters minimum and include one lower case, one upper case, one number and one special character.

How to use the portal

Once you are set up and logged in, the portal displays a dashboard, showing Billing Cycle Usage, Billing Cycle Data, Billing Cycle Threshold, Alerts and Notifications Tiles. This dashboard tells you in one glance what’s happening with your water consumption. Use the menu to the left of the dashboard to see graphs, get meter information, and manage settings.

To set an Alert on your account, select “Settings” from the menu on the left and then click on “Usage Alerts”.  You will have 4 options – Billing Cycle (the usage between your bills), Daily, Multi-Day (weekly) and Vacation.   Click the box “Enabled” for any or all of the alerts and set the threshold value.  This value should be slightly above your average usage for that period.  When your water usage exceeds the threshold, you will get a message sent directly to your e-mail inbox alerting you of the higher than normal usage.  You can change these values or enable/disable them as you need by logging in and updating the information in this menu.
