Collins Drive Boat Launch Rehabilitation Project

The City of Orillia will be completing a project to repair the Collins Drive Boat Launch.  The work consists of:

• Repairs to both the east boat launch ramp and west boat launch ramp
• Replacement of dock deck boards

The Collins Drive Boat Launch Rehabilitation is a combination of 2022 Capital Funding ($125,000) and 2024 Capital Funding ($100,000). The boat launch consists of two launching areas, one on each side of the floating dock. The West side has begun to deteriorate and requires repairs. At the same time, the East side will be assessed, and any required repairs will be made. The aging dock is also in need of repair and deck boards on the dock will also be upgraded and replaced as part of the project.

The Contractor for this project is RS Construction Group. Site preparation is scheduled to commence on or about Nov. 11, 2024, with completion of work expected mid-December. During this time there will be no access to Lake Simcoe from this area.  The City of Orillia does everything it can to limit the inconvenience of City projects, and we thank you for your patience and co-operation throughout the duration of the project.
