Notice to Residents, Businesses and Visitors
Parking Lot 10 Lease Update
Sionito Community Development Corporation, property owner of Lot 10 (26 West St. N.), has provided notice to The City of Orillia, that the lease agreement with the City is tentatively scheduled to conclude in the first week of December 2025.
Lot 10 is tentatively scheduled for closure in the first week of December 2025 to accommodate the property owner’s intention to begin construction of a future affordable housing development.
The City of Orillia has leased and operated Lot 10 for over 25 years, providing convenient downtown parking to support local businesses and community access. We recognize the impact this change may have on parking availability and appreciate the community’s understanding and cooperation during this transition. Additional metered parking spaces are being implemented in Lot 11 (67 Coldwater St. E.).
To assist residents, businesses, and visitors, a map of alternative municipal parking options is included with this notice. Additional information on downtown parking locations and availability can also be found on the City’s website at orillia.ca/parking.

Should the lease be extended and parking remain available beyond the planned date (due to a delay in construction), the City will provide an update as soon as details are confirmed.
