Notice to Residents and Businesses - Borland Street Reconstruction Project

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES ON

BORLAND STREET FROM LAWRENCE AVENUE TO PETER STREET

The City of Orillia would like to inform you that construction work will be taking place nearby.

This project will include road reconstruction, replacement of the existing curb and sidewalk, and improvements to water, storm and sanitary sewer mains on Borland Street. The project is scheduled to commence on or about April 22, 2024, with completion expected by October 2024. The Contractor for this project is John Bravakis Enterprises Ltd.

The City of Orillia does everything it can to limit the inconvenience during infrastructure improvements and we thank you for your patience and co-operation throughout the duration of the project.

Residents are reminded to have their garbage, recycling, and green bin/yard waste curb side by 7:00 a.m. for collection on collection day.

Contract working hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Doug Larocque (705-209-5860) will be the Contractor’s public relations person. Evan Powell (705-323-2909) is the City’s Inspector on site and Jeff Hunter (705-826-0508) is the City’s Project Manager for this project. All after-hour emergency calls should be directed to the afterhours number (705-326-4671) at the Fire Department.
