City of Orillia administrative offices will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, in recognition of Remembrance Day:
- Orillia City Centre (50 Andrew St. S.)
- Municipal Operations Centre (20 James St. W.)
- Waste Diversion Site (100 Kitchener St.)
- Wastewater Treatment Centre (40 Kitchener St.)
- Water Filtration Plant (200 Bay St.)
Service updates on Tuesday, Nov. 11:
Orillia Transit/OWLS: Service will run as regularly scheduled on Nov. 11.
- Buses will stop for two minutes of silence at 11 a.m.
- Veterans in uniform or displaying campaign medals, along with one companion, will be permitted to ride Orillia Transit without paying a fare.
Garbage and Recycling
- No garbage, recycling, green bin, or yard waste collection
- Collection delayed by one day
- Items must be at the curb by 7 a.m. to ensure collection
- Regular collection schedule will resume on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025.
- County of Simcoe holiday waste collection schedule does not affect City of Orillia residents.
