City of Orillia administrative offices are closed on Friday, November 11, 2022 to observe Remembrance Day. This includes:
- Orillia City Centre (50 Andrew St. S.)
- Municipal Operations Centre (20 James St. W.)
- Wastewater Treatment Centre (40 Kitchener St.)
- Orillia Waste Diversion Site (100 Kitchener St.)
- Orillia Public Library (36 Mississaga St. W.)
Orillia Transit/OWLS
Service will run as regularly scheduled on Nov. 11, 2022. Please note: buses will stop for two minutes of silence at 11 a.m. Veterans in uniform or displaying campaign medals, along with one companion, will be permitted to ride Orillia Transit without paying a fare on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022.
Orillia Recreation Centre (255 West St. S.)
The Orillia Recreation Centre is open on Nov. 11, 2022.
Orillia Opera House (20 Mississaga St. W.)
The Orillia Opera House Box Office at 20 Mississaga St. W. is open on Remembrance Day.
Leacock Museum (50 Museum Dr.)
Leacock Museum is closed for tours due to restoration until January 2023. The administrative office is closed on Nov. 11, 2022. For further information, please visit leacockmuseum.com.
Orillia Farmers’ Market

Remembrance Day Waste Collection Schedule
There will be no recycling, green bin or yard waste collection on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, and the Waste Diversion Site will be closed. Collection for the remainder of the week will be delayed by one day. Items, including batteries for the special curbside battery collection, must be at the curb by 7 a.m. to ensure collection. The regular collection schedule will resume on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022.
