Orillia Transit Service Notice

Orillia Transit is pleased to provide Free Transit on Nov. 11, 2023 in honour of our Veterans. Free Transit is valid for any person wearing military uniform, campaign ribbons, or legion attire, along with one companion. 

Transit Detour & Modifications

November 11, 2023 11 a.m. to 1p.m.

On Saturday, Nov. 11 a Remembrance Day parade will take place along Mississaga St. W. from Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (OSMH) to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34 Orillia.

To accommodate this all transit stops between West St. and Westmount Dr. on Mississaga St. W. will be unavailable between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The transit stops that are out of service are depicted on the map below.

Transit Terminal: Due to the parade, the Georgian bus and West Ridge via Old Barrie Road bus will be arriving and boarding on West Street between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. 

If the parade is cancelled or ends earlier than stated, transit will resume normal operation.
