Orillia Transit Service Notice
Transit Detour & Modifications

Due to various Remembrance Day Ceremonies, the following transit modifications will be in effect on November 11, 2024 only:
Georgian College:
The entrance to Georgian College will be temporarily unavailable from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Georgian Bus Route will not be servicing the two transit stops at Georgian College. Depicted on the map below are the out of service stops and alternate transit stops that will continue to be serviced during this time.
Remembrance Day Parade:
A Remembrance Day Parade will take place along Mississaga Street West from Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (OSMH) to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34 Orillia. To accommodate this, all transit stops between West Street and Westmount Drive will be unavailable between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. In addition, the Georgian and West Ridge via Old Barrie Road Routes will be arriving and boarding on West Street during that time. A map of the out of service stops can be found below.
Free Transit Service in honour of our Veterans:
Orillia Transit is pleased to provide Free Transit on November 11, 2024 in honour of our Veterans. This is valid for any person wearing miliary uniform, campaign ribbons, or legion attire, along with one companion.
Once ceremonies have commenced, transit will resume regular service.
