Join the City of Orillia and Greystone Project Management Inc. for the official ground breaking ceremony of Orillia’s new fire station on Wednesday Oct. 30, 2013.
“Breaking ground for the City’s new fire station is a momentous occasion. The new Gill Street facility will replace the aging and inadequate station on West Street and will meet the immediate and future needs of the Orillia Fire Department,” said Mayor Angelo Orsi.

Detailed reviews of the fire station project requirements resulted in $1.9 million in project savings, bringing the total fire station budget to approximately $9.3 million.
The 20,907 square foot building features four vehicle bays, houses the 9-1-1 communications centre and emergency operations centre, is designed to LEED Silver standards, and reflects the heritage and architectural style of the Orillia community.
