Provide your input into the design plan update for the J.B. Tudhope Memorial Park at a Public Information Centre (PIC) on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
The update will explore the development of a diverse range of water and land-based recreational activities and designated spaces for special community, regional and national cultural events, such as the Mariposa Folk Festival. This walk-in PIC will provide residents with an opportunity to ask questions and provide comments to the study team.

The PIC will speak to the following main categories:
- Inventory and analysis of the existing site conditions
- Concept development
- Short-term improvements
- Mariposa Folk Festival site plan
- Preliminary Park Master Plan
The J.B. Tudhope Memorial Park Design Plan Update will take into account the redevelopment of the site in accordance with the recommendations from the Parks, Recreation and Culture Master Plan completed in 2014. This project is a partnership between the City of Orillia and the Mariposa Folk Foundation.
Those who cannot attend the PIC are encouraged to visit the City’s website for project information and to provide comments through a feedback questionnaire, which will be available online the following day.
