If you would like to experience Lakehead University, the Orillia campus is hosting Research and Innovation Week from Feb. 8 to Feb. 14.
“We will be celebrating the top five research and innovation achievements that have happened to date in Orillia,” said acting dean Herman van den Berg.
In addition, over the week, Lakehead professors will present 12 different lectures focusing on research and innovation. Topics range from building community research capacity in Simcoe County to a research-based view of unincorporated social economy organizations.
“We invite people from the community to come out and celebrate with us, to learn and to see our campus,” van den Berg said.
All events are free and open to the public. Opening ceremonies are planned for Feb. 8 at 1:30 p.m. Soon after, the top five projects will be unveiled. For more information, visit orillia.lakeheadu.ca.
