TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the City of Orillia will hold a Public Meeting on Monday June 23rd, 2014 at 5:30 pm in the Council Chamber, Orillia City Centre, 50 Andrew Street South, to consider an application by Rosemarie Colautti of 196 John Street for a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment (File No. D14-810) pursuant to the provisions of the Planning Act as follows:
Description of the Land:
The subject property is located on the north side of John Street and is located between the intersections of O’Brien Street and Douglas Street and is known municipally as 196 John Street.
Purpose and Effect of the Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment:
The land in question is designated “Living Area – Stable Neighbourhood” in the City’s Official Plan and is currently zoned ”Heritage Residential (HR)” under Zoning By-law 2005-72. The Zoning By-law Amendment proposes to rezone the subject property to “Heritage Residential Exception” (HR-XX) Zone to permit an existing Single Detached Dwelling to add another internal Dwelling Unit, resulting in a Single Detached Dwelling containing five (5) internal Dwelling Units.

Oral and Written Submissions – Appeal:
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a Public Meeting or does not make a written submission to the Council of the Corporation of the City of Orillia before the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the Corporation of the City of Orillia to the Ontario Municipal Board.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a Public Meeting, or does not make a written submission to the Council of the Corporation of the City of Orillia before the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
