November is Budget Deliberation Month in the City

November is budget-deliberation month in the City of Orillia. Council sitting as Budget Committee will spend considerable time reviewing the City’s operating and capital budgets for 2013.

Some important dates for Budget Committee are:

• November 1, 2012 at 4 p.m. – City staff provides an overview and presents the budget package for Committee to review.
• November 7, 2012 at 7 p.m. – Committee meets to hear deputations from city-funded agencies and boards.
• November  8, 2012 at 7 p.m. (if required) – Committee meets to hear deputations from city-funded agencies and boards.
• November 21 and 22, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Committee reviews the operating and capital budgets and makes recommendations.
• November 26, 2012 – Council formally approves Committee’s recommendations.

 All Budget Committee meetings are open to the public (although if warranted, Committee may enter in-camera discussions).
