Posting of Couchiching Beach and Moose Beach lifted

For immediate release (August 26, 2014) – As per the direction of the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, the postings of Couchiching Beach, located at Couchiching Beach Park, and Moose Beach, located at J.B. Tudhope Memorial Park have been lifted.

Both beaches were posted on August 22, 2014, due to higher than normal bacteria count.

All three swimming areas in Orillia are open for swimming.  This includes Moose Beach and Portage Bay, located at J.B. Tudhope Memorial Park, and Couchiching Beach, located at Couchiching Beach Park.
