City of Orillia administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, in recognition of Remembrance Day. This includes:
- Orillia City Centre (50 Andrew St. S.)
- Municipal Operations Centre (20 James St. W.)
- Waste Diversion Site (100 Kitchener St.)
- Wastewater Treatment Centre (40 Kitchener St.)
- Water Filtration Plant (200 Bay St.)
Hours of operation for other City facilities/services include:
Orillia Transit/OWLS: Service will run as regularly scheduled on Nov. 11, 2024. Please note: buses will stop for two minutes of silence at 11 a.m. Veterans in uniform or displaying campaign medals, along with one companion, will be permitted to ride Orillia Transit without paying a fare.
Orillia Recreation Centre (255 West St. S.): Open as regularly scheduled.
Rotary Place (100 University Ave.): Open as regularly scheduled.
Barnfield Point Recreation Centre (500 Atherley Rd.): Open as regularly scheduled.
Orillia Opera House (20 Mississaga St. W.): Closed on Monday, Nov. 11. The Box Office is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and three hours prior to showtime on days with ticketed events. Tickets are available 24/7 at orilliaoperahouse.ca.
Leacock Museum (50 Museum Dr.): Closed on Monday, Nov. 11.The Leacock Museum is open Thursdays to Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 705-325-2196 or visit leacockmuseum.ca for information about current opportunities.
Orillia Public Library (36 Mississaga St. W.): Closed on Monday, Nov. 11.
Orillia Farmers’ Market (36 Mississaga St. W.): The Market will be running as regularly scheduled. Visit orillia.ca/ofm for details.
Remembrance Day Waste Collection Schedule
In recognition of Remembrance Day, there will be no garbage, recycling, green bin or yard waste collection on Monday, Nov. 11. Collection will be delayed by one day. Items must be at the curb by 7 a.m. to ensure collection. The regular collection schedule will resume on Monday, Nov. 18, 2024.
