For immediate release (July 14, 2014) – Mayor Angelo Orsi and Councillors Andrew Hill, Pete Bowen and Wayne Gardy were on hand to present the second installment of 2014 grant awards to seven worthy community organizations at the Orillia City Centre this morning.
This round of grant presentations amounted to $12,635.78. A total of $11,750 was awarded during the first round of grant presentations, for a combined sum of $24,385.78 awarded this year. The City’s total grant budget for 2014 is $35,000.
Today’s grant recipients included:
Orillia Horticultural Society ($750)
Orillia Film Festival ($750)
Living for Jesus Outreach Ministries ($1,500)
The Sharing Place Food Bank ($2,500)
Orillia Canada Day ($4,000)
Orillia Terry Fox Run ($635.78)
St James Anglican Church ($2,500)
