The City of Orillia invites every person who receives a parking ticket (with the exception of accessible parking violations) between November 1, 2013 through to December 1, 2013 inclusive to pay the fine amount by donating a new children’s toy!
Bring the parking violation with the unwrapped toy in its original packaging and proof of purchase to the Orillia City Centre, Treasury Department, 1st Floor, 50 Andrew Street South, Orillia, from Friday, November 1, 2013 to Friday, December 6, 2013, between the regular office hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Toys will not be accepted after December 6, 2013, and the value of the toy must be equal to or exceed the amount owing on the fine.

All toys collected will be donated to local toy drives!
TOYS FOR TICKETS DETAILS - 2013
1. Every person who receives a parking ticket (with the exception of accessible parking violations) between November 1, 2013 - December 1, 2013 is eligible to participate in the “Toys for Tickets” program, whereby the parking ticket recipient pays the fine amount by donating a new children’s toy.
2. Toy donations will only be accepted at the Orillia City Centre, Treasury Department, 1st Floor, 50 Andrew Street South, Orillia, from Friday, November 1st to Friday, December 6th between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Toys will not be accepted before or after these dates.
3. The new toy must be unwrapped and in its original packaging. Gift cards will not be accepted.
4. The toy’s receipt and the parking violation must be presented at the time of payment.
5. The value of the toy must be equal to or exceed the amount owing on the fine.
For example, if the fine amount is $30.00, then the total value of the toy must be equal to or exceed $30.00 (including taxes).
6. Donations of more than one toy are accepted as long as the total cost is equal to or exceeds the fine amount.
7. Toy donations that total the infraction’s early payment amount will be accepted.
8. Parking ticket recipients that were sent a Notice of Impending Conviction are still eligible to participate in the “Toys for Tickets” program and may donate a toy that is equal to or exceeds the early payment amount.
9. Parking ticket recipients that donate a toy that is not equal to the early payment amount of the infraction are required to pay the difference and are subjected to paying the set fine.
For example, if the parking infraction is $30.00 (early payment) $50.00 (set fine), and the parking ticket recipient donates a toy valued at $15.00, then the parking ticket recipient must pay the difference remaining on the set fine amount ($35.00).
10. All toys will be donated to local toy drives.
