For immediate release (January 13, 2015) – In response to an Extreme Cold Warning issued for the Orillia area, the City of Orillia has opened warming stations today for community members in need.
This includes the following facilities;
- Orillia Public Library, 36 Mississaga Street West – 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Rotary Place, 100 University Avenue – 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight).
- Orillia City Centre, 50 Andrew Street South – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Barnfield Point Arena, 500 Atherley Road – 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Warming stations will be in effect for the remainder of the day. If required, further extensions will be posted on the City of Orillia website as well as the City’s social media accounts.
