Since its opening in 1895, the Orillia Opera House has been a focal point for the cultural life of the City of Orillia. The only professional quality performing arts venue north of Toronto, this historic theatre has also previously been the home to Council Chambers, City Hall offices, market stalls, and most famously, the town's lock-up. Today, the Orillia Opera House features performances by a wide variety of internationally renowned artists, all year long.

Middle Night, Presented by Sunshine Harbour

Middle Night will take place in the City's historic and cultural hub, downtown Orillia, on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. An itinerary and downtown map will be provided to each participant.

Transportation will be available to bring participants to and from the downtown core from their accommodations. A separate middle-night downtown shuttle (called ‘the ski lift’) will transport the participants up and down the main street for easy access to the various amazing businesses and attractions the downtown has to offer.

Each participant will be provided with downtown dollars to spend in the downtown core, as well as a scavenger hunt bingo card which, upon completion, can be submitted for a chance to win an Orillia Getaway prize pack. Downtown dollars are gift certificates for the entire downtown (with few exceptions). Details on where these dollars can be accepted are available on DowntownOrillia.ca.

Dress Code: Your best retro winter sporting gear - prize for best costume!

We will have our “ski patrol team” (Games ambassador volunteers) sprinkled throughout the downtown to help guide our guests and answer any questions.
