If You Could Read My Mind… Poetry & Music Lawn Night

The Orillia Museum of Art & History (OMAH) and the Leacock Museum invite you to an evening of poetry, music, storytelling, and community connection.
Inspired by the cultural and literary traditions that continue to shape our region, this collaborative outdoor event celebrates local voices and artistic expression in a relaxed lakeside setting.
Bring your own lawn chair and settle in for an evening of live performances surrounded by the historic grounds of the Leacock Museum.

Paint by the Lake - Fall Edition

You are invited to join us for an outdoor (or indoor, in the case of inclement weather) painting experience at the Leacock Museum! Participants will be guided through basic colour theory for mixing colours. Our paint instructor, M Nowick, will start with teaching some techniques for composing a landscape. A focus will be on creative expression for completing the scene.
Inspiration will be taken from autumnal nature surrounding the Leacock Museum. Space is very limited for these workshops.
Halloween Crafts
Offered October 17, 2026 | 1:00 p.m. or 2:30 p.m.
Join us at the Leacock Museum for some Halloween Crafts on October 17th! Kids will have the choice to create their monster of choice in our historic living room! iSpy cards, activity guides included in the price!
Please note, one adult can enter per child ticket purchased. Additional adults will be required to pay the museums admission fee ($5.25+HST).

Pumpkins and Pinot

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon with friends! The Leacock Museum is excited to provide our pumpkin painting workshop. A complimentary glass of pinot (or a non-alcoholic alternative) will be served.
All paint and supplies will be provided! This event is for one day only and a very limited tickets are available.
Ghost Walks on the Leacock Museum Grounds
Offered October 28, 29, 30 & 31, 2026 | 6 p.m. or 8 p.m.
The Leacock Museum is back with our wildly popular Ghost Walks on the Leacock Museum Grounds! Join us for our biggest year yet with surprise guests, treats, and haunted happenings on historical Old Brewery Bay that will leave you with goosebumps, including a jaunt into the haunted basement!
Refreshments will be served after the tour!
Murderers and Truth-Tellers: A Secret Saboteur Game
Offered November 21, 2026 | 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. (please arrive before 6:30, doors will open at 6:00 p.m.)
Join us at the Leacock Museum for a night of deception and strategy. If you love social deduction games like Werewolf, Mafia, or the hit TV show "The Traitors", you won't want to miss this immersive evening where you must spot the liars before it is too late!
All guests will receive a free drink ticket to spend at the bar upon arrival and special surprise prizes throughout the night.
Nutcracker Tea
Offered November 29, December 6 and December 13, 2026 | 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The Leacock Museum's highly requested Nutcracker Tea returns!
Guests are invited to enjoy a catered three-tiered treat selection with unlimited tea while seated in the decorated and living room, dining room, or sunroom of the home.
Tickets to the Nutcracker Tea will also include a self-guided tour of the museum.
