Notice of Public Information Centre Comprehensive Stormwater Management Master Plan Update

The City of Orillia invites you to participate in an upcoming virtual public information centre (PIC) discussing the City’s Comprehensive Stormwater Management Master Plan (CSWM-MP) Update.

Starting on August 19, we invite you to access the videos and slides that have been prepared through the links posted on this notice (available after August 19).

Public Information Centre Overview:

The CSWM-MP was developed to support the City’s stormwater management program. It will:

• Serve as a decision support tool;
• Provide direction for prioritizing municipal stormwater management projects and programs;
• Support the development of policy updates; and
• Allocate financial and staffing resources over an implementation period from 2026–2041.

The CSWM-MP identifies recommended projects and programs to support the City’s stormwater management, and to protect and enhance the environment.

The purpose of the PIC is to share a summary of background data and observations, present the preferred solutions, and to answer questions and collect feedback. We want your feedback as we continue to shape this important project.

The PIC materials will be available for you to review at your own pace. There will be a comment period between August 19 – September 18, during which you can use the online survey to provide comments and questions. Your feedback will be incorporated into the project outcomes.
