Parking

Parking in Orillia includes a mix of on‑street and off‑street options, such as time‑limited parking, permit parking, and accessible parking spaces. Parking is regulated under the City’s Traffic Parking By‑law to support safe and efficient use of city streets and lots.

Parking tickets

If you receive a City of Orillia parking ticket, you can pay or appeal it online or at the City Centre. Your ticket includes important details about payment and appeals.

Downtown parking

Downtown parking in Orillia is available on‑street and in municipal parking lots. Pay at the meter or online using Passport Parking. Parking is enforced Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Marked accessible spaces are free for vehicles displaying a valid accessible parking permit. Find all parking options using the downtown parking map

Pay to park on‑street in downtown Orillia for up to two hours, refer to the downtown parking map:
  • $3.00 per hour on Mississaga St. E., West St. N., and West St. S.
  • $1.75 per hour on Mississaga St. W., Albert St., Peter St., and Matchedash St.

Waterfront and beach parking

Parking at Couchiching Beach Park, Centennial Park, and Veterans' Memorial Park is free for everyone with the exception of boat trailer parking. Parking at J.B. Tudhope Memorial Park is free unless otherwise posted (ie. for a special event).

Electric vehicle charging stations

There are ten Level 2 city-owned community electric vehicle charging stations at various City facilities that are available 24/7 for public use for a fee. They are located at: 

Parking on residential streets and boulevards

Parking is allowed on residential streets in non‑restricted areas. Vehicles must not block traffic, sidewalks, driveways, or fire hydrants, and all posted signs must be followed. Report an illegally parked vehicle by emailing by‑law staff or submitting a report online.

Boulevard Parking

To park on the boulevard in front of your property, vehicles must be at least 1.5 metres from the roadway and, where a sidewalk is present, at least 1.5 metres from the sidewalk.

Overnight parking restrictions 

No parking on any City streets annually November 15 to April 15 between 12:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., regardless of weather. Your vehicle may be ticketed and towed.
