Transit Schedule and Fares

Orillia Transit operates six bus routes across the city, providing daily transit service. Riders can pay their bus fare with a transit pass or exact change. All buses are fully accessible with ramps, audio announcements, and accessible courtesy seating.

Orillia Transit routes

Plan your trip by downloading the Transit App or by viewing routes and schedule map. Buses run every 30 minutes, meaning a bus passes each stop about once every half hour. 

When buses run

Orillia Transit runs daily, with Monday to Friday service running from 6:15 a.m. to 10:45 p.m., Saturday service is 8:45 a.m. to 8:15 p.m., and Sunday service is 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

By downloading the Transit App (third-party application) you can track the bus in real time. Open the routes and schedule map to see all six routes and pick-up times. 

There is no service on holidays (New Years Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Victora Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day or Boxing Day).

Bus fare

Rider can pay using the exact cash fare or by loading their cOnnect pass online. Through the affordable transit initiative, reduced fares are currently in place until March 31, 2027.

Rider information and programs

All-day travel group passes can be purchased for groups up to 30 children (age 12 or younger) and five adults. To purchase group passes, please email the transit division, or call at 705-325-3975.

Up to two elementary school-aged children and/or preschoolers may ride free when accompanied by a paying guardian.

Passengers can transfer between routes where they connect by requesting a transfer to the driver when boarding and are valid for 45 minutes for one continuous trip with no cash value.

Those with a valid CNIB card may ride Orillia Transit for free.

Support persons ride free of charge. Riders who require a support person must show a need for assistance with mobility, communication, accessibility, or personal or medical care. A support person may be a personal support worker, volunteer, family member, or friend.
