Parking Permits

Parking permits in Orillia are available for a variety of needs, including downtown parking, overnight parking, and boat trailer parking. For general parking information, visit the Parking webpage. 

Vehicle parking permits

Parking permits are sold on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Permits must be clearly displayed on your dashboard at all times. If your downtown permit lot is full, call 705‑325‑2313 and provide your licence plate and permit number.

Yearly downtown parking permits are available for downtown property owners and business owners, and can be purchased at the City Centre during regular business hours, or using the online application:

During overnight parking restrictions, residents can purchase a permit to park between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. from November 15 to April 15. Permits for the next season go on sale in October and can be purchased at the City Centre during regular business hours. Subscribe to City notices to stay informed

Boat trailer parking

Boat trailer permits are required from May 15 to October 15, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. for trailers that are carrying a boat including a dinghy and personal watercraft, but does not apply to a trailer carrying a canoe or kayak. There is no fee or permit required to park without a boat trailer.

Orillia property owners may request a free resident boat trailer permit. Non‑residents can park boat trailers for $10 per hour, to a maximum of $50 per day.
