Public Notice – Special Council Meeting re Samuel de Champlain Statue Interim Storage
A Special Council Meeting re Samuel de Champlain Statue Interim Storage has been scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Council Chamber of the Orillia City Centre. A portion of this meeting may be held in closed session. The purpose of this meeting is to seek Council direction to transition the Champlain statue into interim, secure, and neutral storage.
This in-person meeting may also be held electronically in accordance with Section 238 of the Municipal Act, 2001. Members of the public who wish to attend the Council Chamber during the open session portions of the meeting are welcome. The meeting may be livestreamed on the City of Orillia’s YouTube channel.
The meeting agenda will be available on the meeting and agenda portal.
