Victoria Day Holiday Schedule 2026

City of Orillia administrative offices will be closed on Monday, May 18, 2026 for Victoria Day. This includes:

Orillia City Centre (50 Andrew St. S.) 

Municipal Operations Centre (20 James St. W.) 

Wastewater Treatment Centre (40 Kitchener St.) 

Water Filtration Plant (200 Bay St.) 

Waste Diversion Site (100 Kitchener St.) 

Service updates on Monday, May 18, 2026: 

Orillia Transit/OWLS: No service 

Waste collection:

•    No garbage, green bin, or yard waste collection. Collection delayed by one day.
•    Circular Materials residential recycling collection will also be delayed by one day.
•    Items must be at the curb by 7 a.m. to ensure collection.
•    Regular collection schedule will resume on Monday, May 25, 2026.
•    County of Simcoe holiday waste collection schedule does not affect City of Orillia residents.

Recreation and Youth Centres:

  • Orillia Recreation Centre (255 West St. S.): Open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Rotary Place (100 University Ave.): Closed.
  • Barnfield Point Recreation Centre (500 Atherley Rd.): Closed.
  • Orillia Youth Centre (9 Front Street South): Closed. Also closed Sunday, May 17, 2026.

Orillia Opera House (20 Mississaga St. W.): Closed. Tickets are available 24/7 at orilliaoperahouse.ca

Leacock Museum (50 Museum Dr.): Closed. Tickets are available 24/7 at leacockmuseum.ca.

Orillia Public Library (36 Mississaga St. W.): Closed.

Orillia Farmers’ Market (36 Mississaga St. W.)

  • Market runs as regularly scheduled for it’s first day of the year outside in the Orillia Public Library parking lot on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
