Property Standards

Municipal Code Chapter 866 - Maintenance - Occupancy Standards establishes minimum standards for the maintenance and occupancy of properties within the City. This includes owners of rental residential property. All repairs and maintenance of property required by the standards prescribed in the by-law shall be carried out in a manner accepted as good workmanship in the trades concerned and with materials suitable and sufficient for that purpose.

The Property Standards Committee hear appeals of orders to remedy a violation that are issued by Property Standards Officers.
