Recreation Working Group

The Recreation Working Group is governed by Schedule D of Chapter 105 of the Orillia Municipal Code - Committees and Public Appointments. 

Objectives include:

• Research and make recommendations relating to recreational matters including, but not limited to, land, parks, trails, facilities, plans and programs;
• Research and make recommendations relating to the conservation and enhancement of the natural environment park of Scout Valley;
• Consult with community groups to assist in the completion of reports or recommendations for recreational matters;
• Research and report on grant programs and funding opportunities;
• Research and report on specific matters referred to the working group by Council; and,
• Review and advise on priorities in capital budget projects.
