Municipal Elections and Voting

The next municipal election for the City of Orillia is Monday, October 26, 2026. Eligible voters will cast ballots for Mayor (elected city wide), two City Councillors for their respective ward (Wards 1-4) and school board trustees for both English and French school boards. Elections are held every four years, with the elected Mayor and Councillors serving a four year term. Voting will take place in person at designated polling locations on Election Day and during Advance Voting Days. To vote, you must be on the voters' list, you can confirm, add or update your information at RegisterToVoteOn.ca by August 12, 2026. Unofficial List of Candidates

Note: This is a list of candidates who have filed their nomination paperwork during the nomination period between May 1, 2026 and August 21, 2026 (2:00 PM). Following the close of the nomination period, the City Clerk will review all nominations and prepare a certified list of candidates, and declare any candidates acclaimed, if necessary.

Please note that this may not be a complete list of candidates. Only candidates who have completed and submitted a Freedom of Information Release will have their name, qualifying address, telephone number or email address listed online. A complete list of candidates is available for in-person viewing at the Orillia City Centre, 50 Andrew St. S., at the Customer Service Desk.

2022 Municipal Candidate Financial Statements

Pursuant to the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, the official copies of the financial statements are filed with the City Clerk. These are available for review at the Orillia City Centre - Corporate Services Department.

  2. Members of the public may view scanned copies of filed statements in PDF format by clicking on the candidate's name in the table below.
  3. City staff have not verified or amended the information contained in the statements.
  4. Candidates who do not file by the legislated deadlines will be marked as "In Default." Late submissions do not remove this status.
